46,766 miles, #s match. Cruise control, ps, pdb!

#s match, documented, optioned out and restored like factory new! 46,766 actual miles, they started with a clean car to restore. Very rare and beautiful Seafoam Turquoise color as well. This is all documented with the build sheet and fender tag. We have a binder with documentation including vintage pictures which are so cool. This really is an exceptional car, fit and finishes throughout are very impressive. The Road Runner was Motor Trend's car of the year in 1969. Plymouth set out to produce a muscle car that would run the 1/4 mile is 14 seconds and only cost $3,000. So many Road Runners were pretty basic. This one is very well optioned: bucket seats with a console, power steering and brakes are fairly rare. Cruise control... this is the first one I've ever seen!

EXTERIOR: Beautiful, rare, original color: Q5 Seafoam Turquoise. The power convertible top was replaced in the proper grain black material, it has glass back window. It's sitting really proud on some chrome 15x8 Magnum 500 wheels wrapped in some meaty BFG tires.

INTERIOR: Rare bucket seats with a center console. The 8-track radio has a trick up its sleeve, it's been completely rebuilt and upgraded with an FM conversion and an auxiliary plug at a cost of $847. Interior lights work.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Concourse restored engine bay. VIN number matching 383-335 hp motor. It has stock manifols, pulleys, coil, crinkle finish air cleaner with 383 pie tin, reproduction plug wires and even correct crayon markings on the valve covers. There are some nice features in here: power steering and brakes along with ultra-rare cruise control. Not to mention the Beep Beep horn too. It's very proper and complete. The Mopar battery is properly secured, it even has correct orange overspray on the negative cable. The wiper motor is restored, washer system is complete. It runs cool with correct Mopar radiator, reproduction hoses and clamps. The original fender tag is still attached and the hidden VIN on the core support matches.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: All clean metal painted body color. Reproduction sticker, trunk mat and weatherstrip. Complete with spare and jack. Optional trunk light too.
It even has the tire size written on the trunk lid for the assembly line worker.

UNDERSIDE: It was claimed to have been flipped on a rotisserie. Under this car is clean! The floors, frame rails, inner rockers appear to be rust free original metal. It's not even pitted, it was prepped and painted semi-gloss black. The front and rear suspension was completely rebuilt. The steering was rebuilt. The brake system was upgraded with drilled and slotted disc at all four wheels. E-brake is hooked up. Great sounding exhaust with x-pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and correct chrome tips. The fuel system was replaced including the tank. Looking up at the motor it is still spotless, it has a high torque starter. The VIN number matching 727 Torqueflite automatic was restored like new. Correct 8 3/4 rear end.

SERVICE: We thoroughly inspected the car and all we had to do was tighten the mirror and replace an exhaust collector gasket.

Only 2,128 convertibles were made total, and this has got to be one of the best examples that still exist. Put the top down, put it in drive and "Beep Beep" the horn to let people know to get out of your way because you are on your way to having a good time!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
