Volo Auto Museum founder Greg Grams for decades has maintained an abiding interest in these superlative cars. While amassing his own vast and ever-growing DII collection, Grams immersed himself in the history of the Duesenberg II’s manufacturer — Elroy, Wisconsin-based Elite Heritage Motors Corp.
In 2012, Grams acquired all of the now-defunct business’s office holdings and files, saving from the trash heap a host of historical documents and memorabilia.
