Packard was at the top of the American 'Fine Car' market in 1930. More Packards were sold and retained in the United States then any other luxury auto make. Customer loyalty, quality in design and engineering, and brand perception were key aspects to Packard's success, even as America began it's downward slide into the Great Depression. The Standard Model Line exemplified Packard's value in terms of features, performance and style. Once a customer closed the sale of a Packard, a host of options were presented. The new owner could upgrade the car with the latest automotive technology or embelish it with luxurious ammenities. Whether it was a custom paint color, a deluxe hood ornament, or the latest 4-Speed transmission option, the Packard was the covetted car on the owner's block. Just ask the man who owns one, as the saying goes.

The Model 733 showcased here is a slightly older restoration that has been faithfully maintained by a car collection custodian over several years. The Burgundy paint shows some age but is still quite presentable. Authentic details throughout with consistent numbers and catalog correct options for it's model number. For example, wire spoke wheels were a new option for 1930 and they are present on this 733 Convertible Coupe. The trunk and trunk rack, golf club door, Trippe safety lights, fender mounted parking lights, and the deluxe hood ornament round out the 'loaded' options package for a Model 733. Best of all this car runs and drives very well, even better than it looks. Perfect for the collector looking for a robust runner to take on extended tours. This is a very desirable example, priced below what you'd expect for a Golden Age Convertible Packard.  Complete video of this vehicle available.  Call our classic car division at 815-385-8408 for video and/or vehicle information.
